Tulsidas preceded his divine work of spreading the glories of Lord Rama and inspired people through his Bakthi cult on the holy land of Varanasi.  In the meantime, the thieves arrived  in his hut during the night hours to pilfering the great epic ‘Sri Ramacharita Manas’,  to their utter amazement found two young boys one in blue complexion and another in white, with bows and arrows in their hands were guarding the scriptures.  The thieves were horrified and ran off from the place without accomplishing their task and eventually it was informed to Tulsidas.   Tulsidas shed tears of joy at the compassion of Lord Ram and realized the truth that the guards were none other than Lord Rama and Lakshmana.

There was another incident affirms the devotion of Sant Tulidas, after morning ablutions he used to pour the remaining water at the base of Banyan tree, in that way Tulsidas reduced the pain and agony of the spirit lived in there.  As a mark of gratitude, the spirit enquired about the yearning in his life.   Tulsidas immediately revealed his desire for the Dharshan of Lord Sri Rama.  The spirit informed Tulsidas about an old man who used to visit the place where Tulsidas’ spiritual discourses being held and he was the first to attend his preaching and the last to leave during the soul stirring discourse takes place about the glories of Lord Ram, ultimately Tulsidas identified the old man and fell on his feet.  Who will possibly be the old man other than Lord Anjaneya himself?

Tulsidas arrived in Chitrakoot and spent his remaining life immersed in preaching the glories of Lord Rama as per the instructions of Lord Anjaneya.   He sincerely engaged in the service of Lord and distributing the sandal paste to the devotees.  One day Lord Rama appeared before him and asked for the sandal paste.  At the breathtaking sight of Lord,  Tulsidas attained Samadhi.  The most compassionate Lord applied sandal paste on the forehead of Tulsidas.
